Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
N-cadherin is a 140 kDa transmembrane protein that mediates calcium-dependent intercellular adhesion. It plays a key role in morphogenetic movements during development and regulates cell surface adhesion through homotypic interactions.
Its function depends on association with the actin-cytoskeleton via interactions with cytoplasmic catenin proteins. This association is regulated by phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of beta-catenin.
N-cadherin consists of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region, and a conserved cytoplasmic tail. It is essential during gastrulation and for establishing left-right asymmetry.
