Target Information
MCM7은 진핵세포 게놈 복제 개시 과정에 필수적인 미니 염색체 유지 단백질(MCM) 복합체의 구성 요소를 암호화합니다. MCM 단백질로 구성된 헥사머 복합체는 pre-replication complex(pre_RC)의 핵심 구성 요소로, 복제 포크 형성과 DNA 복제 관련 단백질의 모집에 관여합니다.
MCM2, 4, 6과 함께 형성된 MCM 복합체는 DNA helicase 활성을 가지며, DNA 이중가닥을 풀어주는 효소로 작용합니다. 또한 Cyclin D1 의존성 kinase인 CDK4와 결합하여 종양 억제 단백질 RB1/RB와의 상호작용을 조절할 수 있습니다.
대체 스플라이싱된 전사 변이체가 존재하며, 서로 다른 아이소폼을 암호화합니다.
