Product Specific Information
- Direct ELISA: Use antibody at 2–4 µg/mL for coating.
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues, heat sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as Fetomodulin (FM), endothelial anticoagulant protein, or glycoprotein P112, is an endothelial cell surface glycoprotein containing six EGF-like domains and a lectin-like N-terminal domain. TM accelerates the activation of protein C, contributing to thrombo-resistance and reducing clot formation on endothelial surfaces.
Immunohistochemical staining for TM is useful in studies of vascular tumors, meningiomas, and choriocarcinomas.
