Reconstitution:
Briefly centrifuge the vial before opening to collect contents at the bottom. Reconstitute lyophilized mIL-4 in sterile 10 mM HAc at not less than 100 µg/mL, then dilute further as needed. For long-term storage, add a carrier protein (e.g., 0.1% HSA or BSA).

Storage:
Stable at room temperature for 3 weeks; store desiccated below -18°C. After reconstitution, stable at 4°C for up to 1 week; store below -18°C for long-term use. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Target Information

Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is a pleiotropic immune-modulatory cytokine produced by activated T cells and acts as a ligand for the IL-4 receptor. It has broad biological functions and shares overlapping roles with IL-13 due to receptor binding similarities. STAT6 mediates IL-4 signal transduction. The IL-4 gene is part of a cytokine cluster on chromosome 5q, closely located to IL-13 and IL-5, coordinated by long-range regulatory elements. IL-4 delta 2 is a known splice variant.
