Target Information
COPS8는 COP9 signalosome (CSN)의 구성 단백질로, 진화적으로 보존된 8개의 서브유닛으로 이루어진 복합체이다. CSN은 탈유비퀴틴화 효소 및 단백질 키나아제와 상호작용하며, SCF형 E3 리가아제 복합체의 탈네딜화(deneddylation)를 매개하여 유비퀴틴 리가아제 활성 조절에 관여한다. 또한 p53, c-jun/JUN, ITPK1, IRF8/ICSBP의 인산화에도 관련되어 있으며, CK2 및 PKD 키나아제와의 결합을 통해 기능할 가능성이 있다.
CSN8은 CSN의 가장 작고 보존성이 낮지만 최초로 확인된 서브유닛으로, 최근 연구에 따르면 Drosophila 발달 및 말초 T 세포 항상성 유지, 항원 수용체 유도 세포 주기 진입에 필수적이다.
