Target Information
The CD93 gene encodes a cell-surface glycoprotein and type I membrane protein originally identified as a myeloid cell-specific marker. Although previously thought to be a receptor for C1q, it is now considered to be involved in intercellular adhesion and clearance of apoptotic cells. The cytoplasmic tail interacts with moesin, linking transmembrane proteins to the cytoskeleton and contributing to cytoskeletal remodeling.
