Target Information
ADRBK1 (GRK2) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in phosphorylation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). GRK2 (83 kDa) is ubiquitously expressed in mammals and regulates receptor internalization and signaling through the Ras-Raf-ERK1&2 pathway. GRK2 activity is modulated by phosphorylation via PKC, Src, ERK1&2, and by protein interactions. ERK phosphorylates GRK2 on serine 670, resulting in inactivation through a negative feedback mechanism.
