Target Information

The nuclear receptor corepressor (N-CoR) and silencing mediator of retinoid and thyroid hormone receptors (SMRT) participate in diverse transcriptional repression pathways. These complexes recruit histone deacetylases (HDACs), particularly HDAC3, to form repressive chromatin structures. TBLR1 is a WD-40 repeat protein that associates with N-CoR and SMRT complexes, acting as a core component, although its specific role remains to be fully elucidated.
