Cyclin D1 (PRAD-1, bcl-1)는 세포주기 조절에 핵심적인 역할을 하는 단백질로, CDK4 및 CDK6과 결합하여 Rb 단백질을 인산화시킵니다. 인간 Cyclin D1(CCND1) 유전자는 염색체 11에 위치하며, 세포 성장 자극에 반응하여 G1기 동안 합성됩니다. D형 Cyclin-CDK 복합체는 Rb 단백질의 성장 억제 기능을 비활성화하고 p21Cip1 및 p27Kip1과 같은 CDK 억제제와 상호작용합니다. Cyclin D1은 성장 인자 자극이 없을 경우 불안정하여 인산화에 의해 유비퀴틴 매개 분해를 겪으며, 이는 G1/S기 정지에 기여합니다.
