Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 15% cross-reactivity with recombinant human ESAM is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
ESAM is a 55-kDa membrane protein composed of two extracellular Ig domains, a single transmembrane domain, and a 120 amino acid cytoplasmic domain.
It is related to members of the junctional adhesion molecule (JAM) family and is expressed on endothelial cells and activated platelets.
ESAM at endothelial tight junctions plays a role in regulating vascular permeability in response to agents such as VEGF or extravasating neutrophils.
