Target Information
SRPRB is a subunit of the signal recognition particle receptor (SR). This transmembrane GTPase anchors the alpha subunit, a peripheral membrane GTPase, to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane. SR is required for the cotranslational targeting of secretory and membrane proteins to the ER membrane.
The encoded protein shows similarity to mouse SRPRB and belongs to the GTPase superfamily.
