Target Information
The MS4A7 gene encodes a member of the membrane-spanning 4A gene family, which share common structural features and similar intron/exon splice boundaries. These genes show unique expression patterns in hematopoietic and nonlymphoid tissues.
MS4A7 is associated with mature cellular function in the monocytic lineage and may form part of a receptor complex involved in signal transduction.
This gene is localized to chromosome 11q12, within a cluster of related family members. At least four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have been identified.
