Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. These are cell-surface proteins with four hydrophobic domains that mediate signal transduction events involved in cell development, activation, growth, and motility. Alternate polyadenylation sites and two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
