This antibody recognizes Turkey MHC Class I.
Target Information
Avian MHC Class I molecules (B-F antigens) consist of a polymorphic alpha-chain noncovalently bound to an invariant beta2-microglobulin subunit.
These molecules are expressed on most nucleated cells and present endogenously synthesized antigenic peptides to CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes.
The monoclonal antibody F21-2 also reacts with turkey MHC Class I.
HLA and MHC antibodies are important in Immunopeptidomics, aiding neoantigen identification and characterization via high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry.
