Target Information
This gene belongs to the SCC3 family and is expressed in the nucleus. It encodes a component of cohesin, a multisubunit protein complex that ensures sister chromatid cohesion along chromosomes from DNA replication through prophase and prometaphase, and dissociates during anaphase for segregation.
