Target Information
RAG2 (V(D)J recombination-activating protein 2)는 RAG 복합체의 핵심 구성요소로, V(D)J 재조합 과정 중 DNA 절단 단계를 매개합니다. 이 과정은 B세포와 T세포의 발달 중 다양한 면역글로불린 및 T세포 수용체 유전자의 다양성을 생성합니다.
RAG 복합체는 두 단계로 DNA 절단을 수행하며, 히스톤 H3의 H3K4me3 변형은 이 반응을 촉진합니다. 또한, 한 면역글로불린 대립유전자에서 DNA 절단이 일어나면 ATM 의존적 재배치가 유도되어 다른 대립유전자의 접근성이 차단됩니다.
RAG2는 촉매 활성 자체를 가지지 않지만, RAG1이 매개하는 모든 촉매적 활성에 필수적입니다. 유전자 변이는 면역결핍이나 Omenn 증후군과 같은 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다.
