Asparagine-tRNA ligase (EC 6.1.1.22) catalyzes the reaction:
ATP + L-asparagine + tRNAAsn ↔ AMP + diphosphate + L-asparaginyl-tRNAAsn.
This enzyme is involved in alanine and aspartate metabolism and aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis.
