Product Specific Information

This antibody detects endogenous levels of ZEB1 only when phosphorylated at Ser887.

Target Information

ZEB1 (Zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1) acts as a transcriptional repressor and inhibits interleukin-2 (IL-2) gene expression.
It can enhance or repress the promoter activity of the ATP1A1 gene depending on cDNA quantity and cell type.
ZEB1 represses E-cadherin promoters and induces epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) by recruiting SMARCA4/BRG1.
It also represses BCL6 transcription in the presence of the corepressor CTBP1, positively regulates neuronal differentiation, and represses RCOR1 transcription activation during neurogenesis.
Mutations in ZEB1 can result in corneal dystrophy, posterior polymorphous corneal dystrophy, and Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy type 6.
