CNSK1A1 (CK1 alpha 1)는 casein kinase I (CKI) 유전자 패밀리의 구성원으로, 산성 기질을 선호적으로 인산화하는 serine/threonine kinase를 암호화합니다. CKI 단백질은 단량체 형태로 25~55 kDa 범위에 있으며, 진핵세포의 핵, 세포질, 막 분획에 존재합니다.
이 단백질은 다수의 단백질을 인산화할 수 있으며, Wnt 신호전달에 관여합니다. CTNNB1을 Ser-45 위치에서 인산화하며, PER1과 PER2를 인산화할 가능성이 있습니다. 또한 유사분열 중 염색체 분리에 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
