Target Information
The VCP (valosin-containing protein) gene encodes an ATP-binding protein involved in vesicle transport, fusion, 26S proteasome function, and peroxisome assembly. It forms complexes with clathrin and Hsc70 and participates in cellular events regulated during mitosis, including membrane fusion, spindle pole body function, and ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation.
