Target Information
Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as Fetomodulin (FM), endothelial anticoagulant protein, or glycoprotein P112, is a membrane protein with six EGF-like domains and an N-terminal lectin-like domain. It accelerates the activation of protein C, contributing to thrombo-resistance and prevention of clot formation on endothelial surfaces. Immunohistochemical staining for TM is used in studies of vascular tumors, meningiomas, and choriocarcinomas.
