Target Information
Integrin-linked kinase (ILK) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of beta-1 integrin. It plays a key role in transducing extracellular matrix signals through integrins, influencing intracellular and extracellular functions. ILK contains four ankyrin-like repeats and acts as a proximal receptor kinase regulating integrin-mediated signal transduction. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
