Target Information

Sorbitol dehydrogenase는 polyol과 해당 ketose 간의 상호전환을 촉매하며, aldose reductase와 함께 glucose를 sorbitol로 환원하는 과정에 관여합니다. ALDR1이 NADPH를 보조인자로 사용하는 반면, SORD는 NAD를 이용하여 sorbitol을 fructose로 산화시킵니다.
