Target Information
CD1E 유전자는 CD1 패밀리에 속하는 막관통 당단백질을 암호화하며, 이들은 MHC 단백질과 구조적으로 유사하고 β2-microglobulin과 이합체를 형성합니다. CD1 단백질은 주로 자가 또는 미생물 유래의 지질 및 당지질 항원을 T 세포에 제시하는 역할을 합니다. 인간 유전체에는 염색체 1에 위치한 다섯 개의 CD1 유전자가 존재하며, 각 단백질은 세포 내 위치 및 특정 지질 리간드에 대한 특이성이 다릅니다. CD1E 단백질은 골지체, 엔도좀, 리소좀 내에 존재하며 안정적인 가용성 형태로 절단됩니다. 이 가용성 형태는 일부 당지질을 다른 CD1 단백질이 제시할 수 있는 형태로 가공하는 데 필요합니다.
