Description:
The JES6-5H4 antibody reacts with mouse interleukin-2 (IL-2), a 17 kDa T cell growth factor and a major immunoregulatory cytokine.

Applications Reported:
Useful for ELISA, ELISPOT, neutralization, and intracellular staining for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
The Alexa Fluor® 488 JES6-5H4 antibody has been tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis and can be used at ≤0.25 µg per test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in 100 µL. The cell number can range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
Careful titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Monoallelic expression of the IL-2 gene in mature thymocytes represents a unique regulatory mechanism.
Disruption of the IL-2 gene in mice leads to colitis-like disease, highlighting its essential role in immune regulation.
