cAMP는 다양한 세포 기능에 중요한 신호 전달 분자입니다. cAMP는 cAMP-의존성 단백질 키나아제(AMPK)를 활성화하여 여러 표적 단백질의 인산화를 통해 신호를 전달합니다. AMPK의 불활성 홀로엔자임은 두 개의 조절 서브유닛과 두 개의 촉매 서브유닛으로 구성된 사량체 형태를 가지며, cAMP 결합 시 조절 서브유닛과 촉매 서브유닛이 분리되어 활성화됩니다. 인간에서는 네 가지 조절 서브유닛과 세 가지 촉매 서브유닛이 확인되었으며, 본 항체의 표적 단백질은 조절 서브유닛 중 하나로서 활성화된 촉매 서브유닛에 의해 인산화될 수 있습니다. 또한 다양한 A-kinase 앵커 단백질과 상호작용하여 AMPK의 세포 내 위치를 결정할 수 있습니다.
