Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
CHMP2A belongs to the chromatin-modifying protein/charged multivesicular body protein (CHMP) family. These proteins are components of the ESCRT-III complex (endosomal sorting complex required for transport III), which is involved in degradation of surface receptor proteins and formation of endocytic multivesicular bodies (MVBs). Some CHMPs exhibit both nuclear and cytoplasmic/vesicular localization. CHMP1A, a related protein, is required for both MVB formation and regulation of cell cycle progression.
