Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases, which act as negative regulators of cell stress response pathways. This phosphatase dephosphorylates pre-mRNA splicing factors, crucial for spliceosome formation. Studies in mice suggest a role in cell cycle regulation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
