Product Description

Norgen’s Saliva RNA Collection and Preservation Devices Dx enable safe, non-invasive supervised self-collection of saliva specimens and preservation of RNA at ambient temperature.
Each kit (50 devices) includes:

1. Saliva Collection Funnel and Tube
2. Collection Tube Cap
3. Sealed Preservative Ampoule containing Norgen’s Saliva RNA Preservative

Collected saliva is mixed with the preservative and sent to the lab for RNA isolation using Norgen’s Saliva/Swab RNA Purification Kits Dx (Cat# Dx69100, Dx69300).
Each tube has a unique serial number for secure sample tracking.
RNA remains stable for up to 2 months at room temperature.
Designed for in vitro diagnostic use, including viral RNA collection (e.g., SARS-CoV-2).

Note: This device does not provide diagnostic results. Validation with a downstream diagnostic assay is required.

Saliva RNA Preservative

An aqueous storage buffer for rapid lysis and RNA preservation from fresh saliva specimens.

• Eliminates need for immediate processing or freezing
• Enables sample shipment at ambient temperature
• Preserves RNA up to 2 months
• Inactivates bacteria, yeast, and viruses

Nucleic Acid Isolation

RNA can be isolated using Norgen’s Saliva/Swab RNA Purification Kits Dx (Cat# Dx69100, Dx69300).
Use appropriate controls to minimize diagnostic irregularities.

Saliva samples mixed with Norgen’s Saliva RNA Preservative were stored at room temperature for up to 2 months. RNA integrity was maintained after storage, confirming long-term stability.
