Target Information
The PNMT gene product catalyzes the last step of the catecholamine biosynthesis pathway, methylating norepinephrine to form epinephrine (adrenaline). The enzyme also exhibits beta-carboline 2N-methyltransferase activity and plays a key role in regulating epinephrine production.
