Product Specific Information

The 2H7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD20, a 33–36 kDa transmembrane protein expressed on developing and mature B cells but not plasma cells. CD20 is also detected at low levels on a subset of mature T cells and is involved in B-cell activation.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated by flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.8 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Compatibility:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

Buffer Recommendation:
Use CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) for optimal staining. Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails or single-color controls.

NovaFluor conjugates are based on Phiton™ technology utilizing nucleic acid dye structures engineered for improved spectral performance and reduced spillover.

Target Information

CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and malignant B cells, a subset of T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells. It regulates calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation. CD20 remains on the cell surface after antibody binding, making it a key target for therapeutic B-cell depletion. Associated disease: Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
