히스톤 H3의 N-말단 꼬리는 다양한 번역 후 수정을 받으며, 이는 염색질 구조 변화나 전사인자 결합에 영향을 줍니다. 이러한 수정에는 라이신 및 아르기닌 잔기의 메틸화 또는 아세틸화, 세린 및 트레오닌 잔기의 인산화 등이 포함됩니다.
