• Description: Monoclonal rat IgG2a kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells; use at same concentration as experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome Information: Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 395 (BUV395) emits at 395 nm and is intended for cytometers equipped with a 355 nm ultraviolet laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.
• Buffer Recommendation: When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass produced by the rat immune system, known for complement activation and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC).
It has a molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa and consists of two heavy and two light chains.
Commonly used as a control or reference antibody in rat model experiments, and in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry applications.
