Target Information
This gene belongs to the TIS11 family of early response genes. Members of this family are induced by various agonists such as phorbol ester TPA and polypeptide mitogen EGF. The gene is conserved across species and its promoter contains motifs found in other early-response genes. The encoded protein includes a zinc finger domain with a repeating cysteine-histidine motif and likely functions as a nuclear transcription factor involved in growth factor response regulation.
