Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
GBP1 (Guanlyate Binding Protein 1) is a 68 kDa GTPase and a member of the GTPase1 family. Its expression is induced by Interferon-γ and other inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1α, IL-1β, and TNF-α. GBP1 expression is also regulated by TLR3 ligand poly I:C and depends on NF-κB and IFNα response elements, indicating involvement in TLR pathways.
Inverse correlation between GBP1 and MMP-1 expression suggests GBP1 plays a role in suppressing angiogenesis and cell migration, particularly in endothelial cells. As a regulatory molecule, GBP1 is centrally involved in signal transduction related to inflammation and cell migration networks.
