Product Specific Information

This antibody detects endogenous levels of Mono-Di-Tri-Histone H3 only when methylated at Lys14.

Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, it binds to DNA to form the nucleosome structure. Histones play a crucial role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications of histones, such as methylation or acetylation of lysine and arginine residues, and phosphorylation of serine or threonine residues, influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 extends from the nucleosome core and undergoes multiple types of modifications that regulate cellular processes.
