Target Information
XRCC6 (Ku70) forms a nuclear complex with a subunit of approximately 80 kDa. This complex acts as a single-stranded DNA-dependent, ATP-dependent helicase involved in the repair of nonhomologous DNA ends, such as those required for double-strand break repair, transposition, and V(D)J recombination. Elevated levels of autoantibodies to p70 and p80 have been observed in some patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
