Target Information
FOXK1 is expressed in cells and regulates cell cycle progression through interaction with cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21 (CIP). Loss of FOXK1 in mice leads to growth retardation and impaired skeletal muscle regeneration. FOXK1 shows expression in immature tissues such as brain, eye, heart, lung, and thymus, and is predominantly expressed in malignant tissues including tumors of brain, colon, and lymph node.
