Target Information
XRCC6 forms a nuclear complex with a 70 kDa and an 80 kDa subunit, functioning as a single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent helicase. This complex is implicated in the repair of nonhomologous DNA ends, including double-strand break repair, transposition, and V(D)J recombination. Elevated levels of autoantibodies to p70 and p80 have been observed in some patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
