Target Information
GPR83 is a 423 amino acid protein and an orphan member of the GPCR family, closely related to tachykinin and NPY receptors. It is a human homolog of the mouse GIR protein, expressed predominantly in the brain. This cell surface receptor contains a putative seven-transmembrane domain and may play a role in immune tolerance by inducing peripheral generation of Foxp3+ Treg cells.
