Target Information
The HSP70 family includes four highly conserved proteins: HSP70, HSC70, GRP75, and GRP78. These proteins serve diverse roles in protein translocation and folding. GRP75 is localized to the mitochondrial matrix and assists in folding nascent polypeptides of nuclear and mitochondrial origin. GRP75 and GRP78 are not responsive to heat stress but are induced by glucose deprivation.
