Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45345 was sufficient for detection of GRP170 in 20 µg of HEK293 lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 170 kDa.
Target Information
HYOU1 belongs to the heat shock protein 70 family and plays an important role in protein folding and secretion in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Suppression of HYOU1 is associated with accelerated apoptosis, suggesting a cytoprotective role under hypoxic conditions.
It is up-regulated in tumors, particularly breast tumors, and associated with tumor invasiveness.
In rat, the protein localizes to both the ER (via a carboxy-terminal peptide sequence) and mitochondria (via an amino-terminal targeting signal).
