Mouse anti-Bovine MHC class II DQ antibody, clone CC158 recognizes Bovine MHC Class II DQ.
MHC Class II molecules are constitutively expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells, B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, and activated T lymphocytes. Expression may be induced on other cell types by interferon gamma.
Reconstitution: Reconstitute with 1.0 mL of distilled water.
Target Information
HLA-DR, a member of the MHC class II family, is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB).
The alpha chain gene contains 5 exons:
- Exon 1 encodes the leader peptide
- Exons 2 and 3 encode extracellular domains
- Exon 4 encodes the transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions
DRA acts as the sole alpha chain for DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, and DRB5, while DRB1 alleles contain polymorphisms that define peptide-binding specificities.
HLA-DR is expressed mainly on antigen-presenting cells such as B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T lymphocytes.
MHC class II molecules bind processed peptides and present them to T-helper cells, playing a critical role in immune response initiation.
HLA and MHC antibodies are essential tools in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens via LC-MS/MS analysis.
