Product Specific Information

The MH9D1 monoclonal antibody recognizes interleukin-9 (IL-9), a proinflammatory cytokine involved in type 2 immune responses and Th9 cell differentiation. IL-9 affects Th2 lymphocytes, B cells, mast cells, eosinophils, and epithelial cells, linking it to asthma and allergic disorders.
MH9D1 binding is not blocked by MH9A4, indicating unique epitope recognition.

Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for Th9-polarized human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.03 µg)/test.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Interleukin 9 (IL-9) is produced by activated Th2 lymphocytes and regulates B/T cells, mast cells, eosinophils, and epithelial cells involved in asthma responses. Mouse IL-9 encodes a 144 amino acid precursor, forming a 14 kDa mature, cysteine-rich, glycosylated protein.
TGF beta contributes to Th9 differentiation by reprogramming Th2 cells to secrete IL-9.
