The Cell Copper (Cu) Colorimetric Assay Kit is a highly reliable and sensitive assay designed for the quantitative measurement of copper ion content in cells.
Under acidic conditions, copper ions in the sample react with a complexing agent to form a purple complex with a maximum absorption peak at 580 nm. The copper ion concentration is calculated indirectly by measuring the OD value at 580 nm.
