PGAP3 단백질은 GPI-anchor 성숙 과정 중 지질 리모델링 단계에 관여합니다. 이 과정은 GPI-anchor 단백질의 sn-2 위치에서 2개의 포화 지방산 사슬을 생성하는 단계로, GPI 리모델링 중 phospholipase A2 활성을 통해 sn-2 위치의 acyl-chain을 제거하는 데 필요합니다.
