- Recommended positive controls: AsPC-1, mouse pancreas, rat pancreas, CPB1-transfected 293T
- Predicted reactivity: Rat (81%), Dog (86%), Pig (85%), Bovine (83%)
- Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly before opening the vial.
Target Information
Three different procarboxypeptidases A and two different procarboxypeptidases B have been isolated. The B1 and B2 forms differ mainly in isoelectric point.
Carboxypeptidase B1 is a highly tissue-specific protein and serves as a useful serum marker for acute pancreatitis and pancreatic transplant dysfunction.
It is not elevated in pancreatic carcinoma.
