This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, mouse, and rat based on sequence homology.
It has been tested in Peptide ELISA, showing an antibody detection limit dilution of 1:4,000.
Target Information
The DUSP8 protein belongs to the dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily. These enzymes deactivate target kinases by dephosphorylating phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues.
They negatively regulate MAP kinase family members (MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, p38), which are involved in cell proliferation and differentiation.
DUSP8 is expressed mainly in adult brain, heart, and skeletal muscle, localized in the cytoplasm, and induced by nerve growth factor and insulin.
An intronless pseudogene for DUSP8 is located on chromosome 10q11.2.
