Target Information

In mice, CD4+ helper T-cells differentiate into type 1 (Th1) and type 2 (Th2) cells, which are critical for cell-mediated and humoral immune responses, respectively.
Th1 differentiation is mainly influenced by IL12, while IL4 drives Th2 differentiation. Mice deficient in these cytokines, their receptors, or associated transcription factors exhibit impaired Th1 or Th2 responses.
The human IL27RA gene encodes a protein similar to the mouse T-cell cytokine receptor Tccr and is predicted to be a glycosylated transmembrane protein.
Diseases associated with IL27RA include Hyper IgE Recurrent Infection Syndrome 4 and Crisponi/Cold-Induced Sweating Syndrome 2.
