For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

FICD is a dual-function enzyme capable of mediating both AMPylation and de-AMPylation of target proteins. The side chain of Glu-231 determines whether AMPylase or de-AMPylase activity occurs. It regulates the ERN1/IRE1-mediated unfolded protein response (UPR) by modifying HSPA5/BiP.
In unstressed cells, FICD AMPylates HSPA5/BiP at Thr-518, inactivating it. Under ER stress, it de-AMPylates the same residue, restoring activity. Although it can AMPylate RhoA, Rac, and Cdc42 in vitro, these are not physiological substrates.
